High school students’ physiology and psychology begin to grow rapidly they will have a lot of adjustment problem.The heavy study life make students live in school and family every day,they have no choice,and these would affect their mental health.Therefore,it is important to discuss whether family cohesion,school adjustment are related to mental health.This study is divided into two parts.The first study will investigate the possible relationship among the three variables.In addition to these,we will discuss the possible mediating effect of school adjustment.Then collected and Compile the questionnaires of 472 high school students in Hubei Province.Follow-up use the date processor to handle and analyze the date.Therefore,discuss the relationship among three variables and offer demonstration study for the intervention of Study 2.In the second study,twenty-four students were chosen from enter their name voluntarily.By random allocation,half students were assigned to the experimental group,and the others were assigned to the control group.When intervening in the experimental group,the control group conducted self-study at the same time.Then we can analyze whether the group counseling of school adjustment have an effect on mental health.The results are as follows:1)From all of this,we found that every variable had significant differences in demographic,the concrete results are as follows:There are significant gender differences in family cohesion,Boys score significantly lower than girls,but in the dimension of self-acceptance,boys score significantly higher than girls.No significant difference is found in only-child or not in this demographic variable.No significant difference is found in family cohesion and mental health in whether they are class cadres.However,teacher-pupil relationship,peer relationship and school adjustment’s aggregate score are significantly different in whether they are class cadres.No significant difference is found between family cohesion and school adjustment in location of their home.In mental health,except for the hostile,the differences in students from city or country is significant,but the others differences are not significant.2)Negative correlation between family cohesion and mental health also existed.Positive correlation between family cohesion and school adjustment also existed.In addition to the conventional adjustment,enforce,anxiety and psychological imbalance correlation are non-significant.The other dimensions were significantly correlated.3)School adjustment is the mediator of family cohesion influencing mental health.4)After the group counseling of school adjustment,the school adjustment and mental health have been significantly enhanced.
