Classroom participation is an important carrier to give full play to students’ subjectivity,a basic way to promote the all-round and coordinated development of students’ knowledge,ability and emotion,and an effective way to radiate the vitality of classroom life fundamentally.But now many students’ participation in class is low,especially average students.It is a realistic problem that needs to be solved urgently to improve the class participation of average students,effectively give full play to the students’ subjectivity,truly realize the interaction and communication in class,and provide fair and quality education for all students.This paper mainly adopts the empirical research method and carries out a research on 350 average students,12 teachers and 4 educational administrators from 4 rural primary schools in Hedong District,Linyi City.A questionnaire survey is conducted among 350 average students,and a qualitative interview is conducted among 12 teachers,4 education administrators and 16 average students recommended by teachers.Starting with the overall situation of classroom teaching participation,cognitive participation,emotional participation,will participation and behavior participation,this paper makes an in-depth study on the current situation,problems,causes and countermeasures of the low level of classroom participation of average students.Through the analysis,this study found that the average students ’ class participation is low,and there are four levels of cognitive participation,emotional participation,volitional participation and behavioral participation.On the level of cognitive participation,the level of classroom cognitive participation of middle school students is low.Deep strategy inefficiency in classroom cognitive participation.On the level of affective participation,there is no significant difference between anxiety and fun in class affective participation of average students.In the level of volitional participation,the class volitional participation of average students is significantly lower than the behavior participation and emotional participation.At the level of behavior participation,average students lack enthusiasm in classroom behavior participation.This study focuses on the various problems exposed,and analyzes the causes.Starting from the aspects of students,teachers and educational administrators,the following suggestions and methods are given to promote the classroom participation of average students in primary schools: at the student level,the learning style of average students should be optimized;Strengthen the knowledge level of middle school students;Cultivate the good will quality of middle school students;Let average students experience success;To enhance the concept of classroom participation of average students;At the level of teachers,teachers should pay more attention to average students in primary schools.Diversified teaching organization forms;Make a good classroom atmosphere.At the level of education administrators,correct management concepts should be established to optimize the teaching of "small class".
