Primary school science aims at cultivating students’ scientific literacy.The degree of students’ participation in classroom teaching activities is an important standard to measure the quality of science lessons.However,in the real science classroom,many students are in the state of surface participation and passive participation,so improving the awareness of classroom participation and deep learning ability of primary school students is an important subject facing at present.In this paper,530 students from Grade 5 and 6 of S Primary School in Nanjing were selected as the research objects.Using primary school science as the carrier,questionnaire survey,classroom observation,interview and other methods were adopted to analyze their participation status from three dimensions of behavior,cognition and emotion.It was found that senior students in primary school had the following problems in their participation in science class:they did not actively participate in behavior and participated in a single way;The cognitive participation is at a shallow level,and the dependence on teachers is strong.In terms of emotion,the negative emotions are serious,and teachers and students can not resonate with each other.Therefore,the following suggestions are given from the three dimensions of behavior,cognition and emotional participation:at the behavioral level,students’ learning enthusiasm can be stimulated by stimulating their internal motivation;To improve the evaluation system of students’ classroom participation in order to promote students’ development;To build a harmonious relationship between teachers and students and ensure the effective implementation of inquiry activities and other ways to improve students’ participation.At the cognitive level,we can promote cognitive development by enriching teaching strategies.Optimize the teaching method,carefully design the teaching activities;Be good at using visual learning tools,exploring the path of higher order thinking and other ways to improve students’ participation.On the emotional level,it can arouse students’ expectation in class and stimulate their interest in learning.Implement differentiated teaching to improve emotional experience;Hierarchical teaching to meet the needs of students at different levels and other ways to improve students’ participation.Science teachers should set up the correct view of classroom participation and really return the subject of class to students."Support the degree,progress of the method",for students to answer questions and answer questions,appropriate to build the "scaffolding" of thinking,so that every student’s thinking glow,become the "luminous body" in the science class.
