| With the rapid economic development,under the influence of factors such as the acceleration of population flow,the increasing coreization of families and the continuous improvement of health standards,the number of empty nesters is also increasing.At the same time,under the protection of my country’s living standards and national welfare policies,the urban empty-nest elders have a certain basic material guarantee,which can basically meet the needs of daily life.Therefore,the need for spiritual comfort has become the focus of their attention.During the internship process,although the X Activity Center was used as the main communication platform for the empty-nest elderly,everyone did not make full use of it.In the initial collection of information,the elders of the center reported that they had insufficient communication with each other.This article is mainly based on the study of predecessors and scholars,hoping to carry out group activities to explore the effectiveness of social work intervention in the hearts of the empty nest elderly.Based on the theory of social support network,in order to accurately understand the social support available to the empty-nest elderly in the X activity center and where the most urgent needs for the elderly exist,the workers will need the center elders before the intervention of social work Evaluation.Through interviews with the elders in the center,most of the empty-nest elders’ problems are mainly caused by the inability to meet their psychological needs,including lack of social interaction and entertainment activities,lack of companionship with children,indifferent neighbourhood relations,and inability to adjust the role change after retirement.For example,in terms of formal support,insufficient attention has been paid to the psychological needs of the empty-nest elderly;in terms of informal support,the main source of psychological support caused by social processes and social changes is children.The social support among neighborhoods that gather geographical advantages has become weak.As we age,we can get less and less support from homes of peer groups.In order to improve the empty-nest elderly’s ability to cope with the difficulties in life and enhance their own ability to solve difficulties,this article adopts the psychological mutual aid group work intervention method,which will strengthen the mutual support between the empty-nest elderly in the X activity center and strengthen their connection.So as to alleviate the feelings of loneliness and loneliness between each other due to the empty nest,and build a mutual assistance platform for each other.After the group activities are over,they can still maintain contact with each other,and finally achieve the result of psychological mutual assistance.The study found that the empty-nest elderly in the X activity center met their psychological needs to a certain extent in the group activities,and at the same time made up for the center’s new peer groups,which made up for the lack of social communication.On the other hand,simple group work methods cannot meet the needs of the clients in all aspects.Social workers have limited abilities.To completely solve the psychological needs of the clients,the government,children,and the clients themselves need to work together. |
