Rural revitalization,education first.Rural Revitalization is inseparable from the revitalization of rural education.As the "nerve endings" of rural education system,rural small-scale schools affect the overall development of rural education.Connecting teaching space with rural small-scale schools,the collision between the two makes us have a new understanding of rural small-scale schools.Teaching space is the combination of "teaching" and "space".Space is the basic form of material existence.Different from environment,environment emphasizes subject,while space emphasizes boundary.Emptiness and boundedness are the essence of space.Teaching mainly refers to school teaching,which is a unified activity of teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.This study believes that teaching space refers to the sum of all kinds of coexisting relationships of teaching activities carried out by teachers and students in school to promote the all-round development of students,which has the characteristics of space physics and teaching education.This paper is based on the analysis of the current situation of teaching space in rural small-scale schools,the causes of problems and optimization suggestions.This study mainly uses the non participatory observation method to observe four rural small-scale schools,one is the rural small-scale schools in plain areas,and the other three are the rural small-scale schools in mountainous areas.Firstly,SWOT model is used to analyze four rural small-scale schools;secondly,the status quo of classroom teaching space and non classroom teaching space is described in detail.Classroom teaching space is divided into ordinary classroom teaching space and special classroom teaching space,and non classroom teaching space is divided into corridor teaching space and courtyard teaching space.Through the analysis of the current situation,it is found that there are some problems in the teaching space of rural small-scale schools,such as low utilization rate of teaching space,single function,lack of Educational Implication and local elements.The reason is that the teaching space does not exist in isolation.The problems in the teaching space of rural small-scale schools are related to three aspects:the "one side of a thousand schools" caused by the standardization of school construction,the lack of characteristics of school education,the "floating rootless" state,the weak strength of school teachers,and the "unable to stay" of teachers.These problems are the stumbling blocks in the development of rural small-scale schools and one of the reasons for the "small and weak" of rural small-scale schools.Therefore,in view of the problems existing in the teaching space of rural small-scale schools,this paper puts forward four optimization suggestions: first,comprehensively utilize the teaching space to make "useless" become "useful";second,flexibly arrange the teaching space to make "useful" become "multi-purpose";third,give full play to the educational nature of the teaching space to make education everywhere;fourth,expand the school teaching space to integrate rural culture into the school.Due to the differences in economy,politics,culture,customs and geographical location,there is no fixed mode and standard for the optimization of teaching space in rural small-scale schools,which is suitable for the school.
