| Rural compulsory education is an important part of China’s education system.The development level of small-scale rural schools affects the overall development level of compulsory education in China.Improving the conditions for running small-scale schools,and improving the quality of running small-scale schools,are conducive to reducing the gap between urban-rural schools and realizing the coordinated development of urban-rural education.With the acceleration of the urbanization process in our country,a large number of migrant workers have entered the city,and the rural population has gradually decreased,resulting in the phenomenon of "hollowing" in the countryside.Subsequently,a large number of accompanying children appeared in urban schools,and a large number of rural school-age children were lost,resulting in the phenomenon of hollowing out in rural schools and a large number of hollowing out schools and sparrow schools in rural areas.In order to improve the running conditions of rural schools,improve the quality of running rural schools,promote the development of small-scale schools in rural areas,reduce the gap between urban and rural education,and achieve balanced development of urban and rural education,the state has worked hard in all aspects to introduce a series of policies and investments.A lot of money.After a series of policy combinations,the conditions for running rural schools have been greatly improved.Standardized teaching buildings have been constructed,equipped with advanced teaching equipment,and the conditions for education and teaching have been improved.Orientation training,special job programs,and rural teacher support programs in normal provinces have alleviated the shortage of teachers in rural schools and injected a large number of young teachers into rural schools.However,through field surveys,the number ofstudents in many schools is still shrinking,many rural schools are struggling to operate,and a new round of "hollowing" has appeared in small rural schools.There is still a long way to go to improve the new round of hollowing out in small rural schools.The main problems faced by rural small-scale schools at present are the large number of school-age children,the loss of rural teachers,and the idleness of school building equipment,which has led to the phenomenon of "hollowing" in rural small-scale schools.In this paper,urban and rural education equity theory,equilibrium theory of urban and rural education and educational choice theory as the theoretical basis,through literature,survey,interview a comprehensive understanding of small-scale rural school "hollowing out" of the situation.First,field surveys were conducted on a number of small-scale rural schools,and three of them were selected for statistical analysis of the specific conditions of the schools.Understand the actual situation of running small schools in rural areas.Secondly,combined with the actual situation of the investigation,analyze the specific performance of the new round of "hollowing out" in small rural schools.It was found that rural small-scale schools generally suffer from serious loss of students,high mobility of teachers,and idle school equipment.The main reasons for the above problems are the attraction of students in private schools and urban schools,and the erosion of the source of migrant workers in rural small-scale schools.The leadership of the principals needs to be improved,and the willingness to reform is insufficient.The difficulty in assessing job titles,the lack of targeted training for teachers,etc.are not attractive to teachers;the loss of students and the lack of professional teachers have resulted in idle school buildings and low equipment utilization.Finally,take multiple measures to improve the teaching quality of rural small-scale schools and retain students in rural small-scale schools: use the Internet + education to improve the quality of teaching;build a one-to-one support mechanism for famous schools and share high-quality resources;seek help fromuniversities and promote schools through scientific research;Cultivate the principal’s educational feelings,improve the principal’s leadership,and cultivate high-level principals of small-scale rural schools.Improve salary and treatment,attract talents;implement tilting policies for job title evaluation,strengthen the effectiveness of teacher training,and ensure high-quality teachers;reasonably integrate idle resources,invest as needed,and avoid waste.Fundamentally solve the problem of hollowing out small rural schools. |
