With the rapid economic development, the economic development between regions is not balanced, and there is a large gap in social and economic development between regions. This gap has prompted the population to move to places with more developed economies and richer resources.Economic factors are the main reason for population migration. Most of the migrants migrate mainly by migrant workers.During the process of employment, the migrants frequently change jobs and short-term employment gradually emerges. These situations lead to unstable employment of the migrants. The decline in employment stability will affect the floating population itself,it will also affect the labor accumulation of enterprises, reduce the development speed of enterprises, and even affect the social and economic development of our country. This article introduces the background and significance of studying the employment stability of the floating population.Summarize the literature on the employment stability of the floating population, and provide theoretical support for this article on the basis of push-pull theory, migration motivation theory, human capital theory, labor market segmentation theory, and career choice theory.Clarify the concepts of floating population and employment stability.Describe the demographic characteristics of the migrant population in Jilin Province, the status quo of employment stability by employment characteristics, and the status quo of employment stability by social characteristics and mobility characteristics, and analyze the relationship between employment stability and various characteristics of the migrant population.Use the 2017 National Floating Population Health and Family Planning Dynamic Monitoring Survey data to construct a binary logistic regression model, and select gender, age, education level, nature of household registration, marital status, family size, migration scope, occupation, industry, and unit nature as independent variables. The independent variables are divided into demographic characteristics, employment characteristics, social and mobility characteristics, and employment stability is selected as the dependent variable for analysis. The analysis shows that demographic characteristics, employment characteristics, social and mobility characteristics all have a significant impact on employment stability.Draw the main conclusions and put forward relevant suggestions to enhance employment stability. It is concluded that the employment stability of men is higher than that of women, and the influence of age on employment stability first rises and then decreases with age.The higher the education level of the floating population, the greater the employment stability;the occupation is civil servants and related personnel,Professional and technical personnel and personnel involved in the operation of production and transportation equipment have higher employment stability than other occupations. The employment stability of the floating population working in the tertiary industry is the highest;the smaller the family size, the better the employment stability of the floating population. The employment stability of the floating population is lower than that of the floating population in the province.According to the conclusion,it is proposed to enhance the quality of the floating population and improve the education level of the floating population;the enterprise establishes a sound employment training system for the floating population;establish a fair employment environment to protect the rights and interests of the floating population;increase the employment income of the floating population and increase the floating population Welfare benefits, improve the labor contract signing mechanism and other related countermeasures.
