Research On The Relationship Between College Students’ Association Participation Depth And Employment Ability

"Employment is the biggest livelihood of the people",The report of the 19th national congress of the communist party of China clearly points out that in order to achieve the new goal of higher quality and full employment of the people,the reform and innovation of higher education are necessary.As an important part of the higher education,college student education shoulders the important task of conveying high-level innovative talents to the labor market.It is an important combination of talents as the first resource,science and technology as the first productive force,and innovation as the first motive force.It will have important significance for social economy and development.With the development of higher education in China,the number of college graduates keeps increasing.From 2010 to 2017,the number of college graduates from 6.11 million to 7.95 million.The increasing number of college graduates has put great pressure on the labor market.Coupled with the weak global economic growth and the "trade war" and other complex employment environment,the employment problem has become increasingly serious,with many college graduates unable to find good jobs.How to achieve better employment of college students?To better adapt to the development of social economy and the needs of the labor market,some scholars pointed out that in addition to cultivating students’ employability in class,we should also pay attention to the "second class" on campus,that is college student associations.Give full play to the ideological education function,cultural construction function,social service function,quality education function and potential curriculum function of the associations,so as to improve students’ service,teamwork,communication and other abilities,and further improve students’ comprehensive ability so as to make them more flexible in the future career.In view of this,this paper,based on social capital theory and human capital theory,selects 6 colleges and universities in Jiangsu province as the research objects,focusing on the following issues:1.What is the nature of the relationship between the depth of college student associations’ participation and their employ ability?How strong is the relationship?2.What kind of associations have the most significant impact on the improvement of their employ ability?Through the research,it is found that the participation of college student associations has a significant impact on the development of their employ ability,among which the types of participation of college student associations(ideological and theoretical,academic and professional,innovation and entrepreneurship),positions held in the associations and the number of association participation have a significant impact on the development of college student employ ability.In order to promote the development of college students’ employ ability,colleges and universities should take relevant improvement measures from the following aspects:colleges and universities should actively encourage and develop association activities,focus on the development of some types of associations,improve the enthusiasm of college students in association activities,and encourage the interaction and communication between different associations.
