Learning adaptation,as one of the important indexes to evaluate students’ learning process,directly affects their academic performance and mental health.For normal university students,it is also related to the cultivation quality of teachers and the sound development of basic education,which is of fundamental and prospective significance for the construction of basic education teachers.In the face of a more open teacher education system,it becomes more urgent to improve the learning quality and training quality of normal university students in normal universities.This study mainly used questionnaire survey and interview to evaluate the learning adaptation status of 2679 students from S normal university.The results showed that the proportion of students with poor learning adaptation status was as high as more than 30%.Ordinary normal university students have the best learning adaptability,while the public-funded normal university students have the worst.There are significant differences between different groups of students,such as gender,grade,place of origin,status and major.The reason is that the form of classroom teaching in school is single,and the assessment method of curriculum cannot give full play to the function of evaluation and motivation,which leads to the lack of learning interest and low enthusiasm of normal university students.Students do not understand their own interests,do not realize the importance of learning,when the problem of adaptation can not give full play to the subjective initiative,with a positive attitude to solve the problem;The lack of clear learning objectives,weak awareness of methods,and the inability to effectively use learning strategies lead to low learning efficiency.However,there are some special reasons for the poor learning adaptability of public-funded normal university students.The school lacks a training program for the special group of public-funded normal university students,as well as specialized courses for their willingness to teach and the improvement of their knowledge and skills.Therefore,the training purpose and corresponding advantages of public normal university students cannot be highlighted.Some problems or causes can be controlled and changed within the school.Some problems need to be supported by external forces,especially the competent government.The competent government should realize the important significance of the development of normal colleges and universities,and increase the fund investment and support to them,so as to enhance their attraction to outstanding students.Scientific development of training programs for normal university students,in the teaching process to enhance their willingness to teach,further improve the learning of normal university students to adapt to the overall level.It adopts diversified classroom teaching and course assessment to stimulate students’ interest in learning and enhance their enthusiasm for active learning.Normal university students should take the initiative to explore their own interests,formulate clear and reasonable learning objectives,combine their own development with the society,correct their learning attitude,take the initiative to assume their due responsibilities and missions,and highlight their due competitive advantages in an open teacher education system.
