Problems And Countermeasures Of Procedure Quality Management Of Master Degree Dissertation

The quality of master’s dissertation is an important sign to measure the quality of postgraduate education.Since the 21 st century,with the expansion of graduate enrollment in China,improving the quality of dissertation has become the primary task of degree awarding units and the core topic of graduate education reform.Compared with the international high-level postgraduate education,there is still a significant gap in the quality of China’s postgraduate education.It is urgent to guarantee and improve the quality of master’s dissertation,and further build China from a large country of postgraduate education to a strong country of postgraduate education.This study takes Bourdieu’s field theory as the theoretical framework,interview survey as the main research method,and D University as the research object.It conducts research and investigation on each link of procedure quality management of master degree dissertation of D University,and deeply analyzes many problems in it.It mainly includes: first,the evaluation criteria of the quality of dissertation has been dissimilated-the interference of external factors has interfered the evaluation criteria of the quality of dissertation,which is the most serious problem in the procedure quality management of master degree dissertations in D University;second,the relevant audits,evaluation standards and management rules and regulations have not been implemented-unqualified opening report,interim report and even degree dissertation still exist;thirdly,teachers and students generally lack attention to the each link of quality audits of dissertation-in terms of priority,writing academic papers and seeking works are far more important than writing dissertations and preparing related procedure quality audits.Based on the above problems,the researchers use field,capital and habits as analysis units to explain the causes behind the above problems.First,the field of procedure quality management of dissertation is dominated by the field of power.The field of procedure quality management of dissertations follows more the rules of the field of power than the rules of academic power of cultural capital;second,the role of non-cultural capitals have exceeded that of cultural capital,and institutional pressure generated by non-cultural capital is pervasive in the field of procedure quality management of dissertation;third,the abnormal product of habitual dissimilation “audit must pass” have historical precipitation and concealment,and the tutor’s power to check the quality of the paper is indulged.Under the influence of internal and external integration,the decision-making of actors in the field is finally dissimilated into "audit must pass".At last,in view of the above problems and causes,this study puts forward suggestions and Countermeasures for improvement,includes: first,to protect the core position of academic power from the system,and to relieve the pressure of the system,including the system protection at the macro and the system construction at the micro;second,strengthen the management function of initiative and enthusiasm of the secondary college from the organizational point of view,scientifically allocate human resources,fairly and efficiently reshape the habits of teachers and students;third,to guide teachers and students to write positive attitude and improve the quality of the paper,with universities as the main body and social employers as the auxiliary.
