Research On The Idolatry Of College Students

Under the influence of certain external environment and media,college students’ idol worship is the psychological tendency and emotional attachment of college students’ extreme appreciation,admiration and longing to the identification object and the social behavior performances caused by learning and imitation.For university students,idols are moral models that move and motivate them,are distinguished and respectable people,and are spiritual forces that resist mediocrity and pursue dreams.Under the guidance of idols,they continue to improve themselves,surpass themselves,and strive to become a new era college student who is upward and good.But everything is still too late.At present,with the development of the cultural and entertainment industry and the expansion of media channels,idol worship is becoming more and more popular,and there is even a trend of fanaticism,blindness,and excessiveness.Therefore,the idol worship of college students is more prominent than any other period in the past,and it is urgent for us to conduct cold thinking after the idol’s "hot".Combining with the existing academic achievements,this article takes college students’ idol worship as the research object,and conducts an argumentation study according to the idea of "theoretical research-current situation review-educational guidance",which is divided into four parts.The first part is a basic overview study.Idol worship has experienced a long historical change,and its basic connotation has undergone profound changes.Since the founding of New China,with the development of society,college students’ idol worship has experienced model worship in the era of centralized idols,freedom worship in the era of idol diversification,and personality worship in the era of internet idols,reflecting the different eras of college students’ The tremendous change of value pursuit and social mentality.At the same time,the idol worship of college students has developed so far,and it also shows the new characteristics of times,such as diversified worship types,personalized worship objects,network of worship channels,organization of worship groups,and symbiosis of worship relationships.The second part is theoretical perspective research.For individuals,idolatry among college students is a complicated psychological process.This process is an interaction of four types of elements: subject(college student),object(idol character),mediator(communication route),and ring body(external environment).After the emergence of needs,comparative selection,perception experience,identity attachment,learning imitation,Self-reflection and other stages of the exercise process.The elements of the idol worship of college students andthe complex movements between the stages reflect the three internal laws,namely the law of social determination,the law of subject need,and the law of subject-object interaction.The third part is the study of reality.The analysis of the survey data shows that the overall performance of contemporary college students’ idol worship is more positive and rational,but some college students have problems in entertainment worship,surface worship,blind worship,and high consumption worship.The reason is that this is the result of college students’ emotional fluctuations,psychological sensitivity,and behavioral rebellion,and is closely related to social transformation,school education,and commercial media.The fourth part is the study of education guidance.Nowadays,the various problems arising from the idolatry of college students urgently need the attention and guidance of ideological and political educators.The correct countermeasure is the key to solving the problem.Therefore,ideological and political educators should educate and guide them from the three dimensions of clarifying the basic requirements of educational principles,improving the application effect of educational methods,and exerting the joint effect of educational subjects,so as to eliminate and prevent idol worship to college students to a certain extent.The negative effects that have come to promote the healthy development of college students’ idol worship.
