Due to the differences in economy,history and culture,natural environment,and resources between urban and rural areas,rural children have suffered from insufficient self-confidence during their growth.When the self-confidence is insufficient,the self-confidence cannot be alleviated due to its own vulnerability;at the same time,the support of networks such as family,community and peers is also weak,unable to give correct and effective support,resulting in this group The lack of self-confidence has become more severe,which has had a greater impact on the current healthy growth of children.Therefore,based on this background,this study aimed at ordinary children in rural areas,and carried out social work practice research on children’s lack of self-confidence,accompanied the children of L village from the micro level to improve self-confidence,and developed their ability to cope with adversity.This study was completed with the support of an internship organization that has been engaged in rural social work for many years.After more than two months of internship to understand and establish research issues,after consultation between the institution supervisor and the teacher,children in L village,Tuanjie Township,Xishan District,Kunming City were selected The research object is to conduct social work practice research on children’s lack of self-confidence.The author first learned about 12 households with children through the participation observation method,and worked together,participated in local wedding customs,religious activities,etc.,experienced and understood the local culture,and observed and found needs in life.Secondly,using the Rosenberg Self-Confidence Scale to measure 14 children aged 7-14 in the village,7 children belong to the category of insufficient self-confidence.Finally,an interview was used to conduct a semi-structured interview with these 7 children to find out the reasons and behavioral performances of insufficient self-confidence.After a needs assessment,it was found that most of the children had insufficient self-confidence.In response to this situation,the author tried to use the group work method to explore the practice,and used the games and sitcoms in the group to improve the children’s self-confidence.The study found that the group work method under the guidance of the dominant perspective,cognitive behavior theory and social support network theory has a good effect on improving children ’s self-confidence,and on this basis,it intervenes in the combination of relatively special service families and adopts Individual interviews and separate interventions can effectively enhance the support of children ’s family networks,establish a good environment for children ’s self-confidence,and better integrate group work methods to enhance children ’s self-confidence.
