Job burnout of rural preschool teachers will not only restrict the improvement of teachers’ work enthusiasm,affect children’s physical and mental development,but also damage their physical and mental health.However,the increasing turnover intention of rural preschool teachers caused by job burnout will affect the stability of their faculty.Therefore,this issue has gradually become an important topic for scholars to pay attention to.However,in both domestic and foreign studies,there is a discordant tendency between theoretical and empirical studies: some are speculative but lack the empirical support,while there are no theoretical bases in some empirical studies.In view of this,this study intends to be based on the Job Demands-Resources Model and at the same time probe the job burnout with the combination of theoretical and empirical research.In this study,10,581 preschool teachers in thirty-four counties from eighteen provinces were investigated,in addition,the present situation and influencing factors of preschool teachers’ job burnout in county areas are fully analyzed by using the multi-level structural equation model.The research results showed that:1.As a whole,the situation of job burnout of preschool teachers in county areas is not optimistic.Preschool teachers with serious burnout and with obvious tendency of burnout are accounted for 26.9% and 44.2%,respectively.2.In terms of demographic characteristic variables,the problem of job burnout among male,older,higher education level,divorced rural preschool teachers is more prominent.In terms of the job characteristic variables,the problem of job burnout among rural preschool teachers with 4-5 and 11-20 years of teaching experience,lower professional title,authorized,monthly income of 3,000-4,000 yuan is more prominent.In terms of the labor market variables,the problem of job burnout among rural preschool teachers in western,county,town and independent public kindergartens is more prominent.3.The latent variables of job resources have a negative impact on preschool teachers’ job burnout,and the total effect intensity is-0.457.The direct effect was-0.356,and the indirect effect was-0.102.The indirect effect of the latent variables of job resources is achieved by the negative influence on the latent variables of job demands and by the mediation effect of the latent variables of job demands.The latent variables of job demands had a positive effect on job burnout of preschool teachers,and the total effect intensity was 0.295.The inclusion of kindergarten variables increases the impact of latent variables on teacher burnout.Therefore,preschool teacher burnout is different among kindergartens.On this basis,this study puts forward the following six suggestions: 1.Create a supportive working environment and ensure preschool teachers in county areas to pass the rising period of job burnout;2.Improve the level of job resources in the kindergarten,decrease the division of the authorization,and improve the salary and treatment of preschool teachers in county areas;3.Flexibly establish the standard of per student fund for kindergarten in every district and make sure balanced allocation of teaching resources;4.Multi-dimensional guidance for the improvement of job resources and optimize the essential role of incentive factors;5.Implement “targeted measure” and ensure to solve the job burnout problems of preschool teachers in different attribute kindergarten;6.Pay attention to burnout adaptive preschool teachers and ensure their burnout level is no longer intensifying.
