The research of job burnout has much comprehensive production in the departed 30 years and it begins from the 70s' of 20 century. Although there has all kinds of definition of job burnout, the three-dimensionality theory has been widely recognized. Maslach considered job burnout as the syndrome of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and inefficacy, and she developed MBI to measure burnout. From pioneering to empirical phase, there have been brought forward different theories that explained the cause of burnout and the strategies to deal with burnout.Analyze the colony difference of high school teachers' burnout, validity the JD-R model and discuss the adjusting role of teachers' professional self-concept are the primary purpose of this study. At present study, by using the EBL TECES and job condition questionnaire, the high school teachers in Guangdong province were surveyed.SPSS10.0 and LISREL8.30 were applied to analyze the data. The results are as follows:1. There are significant different development levels of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization dimensions among different gender, marriage status, and educational degree. However, there is no slight difference in demography variables.2. The JD-R model was validated: job demands affect distinctly the emotional exhaustion and depersonalization dimension of job burnout; on the other hand, job resources affect all three dimensions of burnout.3. The adjusting role of teachers' professional self-concept is obvious in the emotional exhaustion and depersonalization of burnout. For low professional self-concept individuals, no matter what job resources are abundant or not, there are positive correlation between job demands and emotional exhaustion , depersonalization dimensions. For high professional self-concept individuals with low job resource, there are being this positive correlation, but with high job resources, there is no correlation. However, the adjusting role does not exist in inefficacy dimension.
