Increasing attention is being paid to network security with the extensive application of wireless sensor networks in various fields.Connectivity and resilience are the crucial metrics of network securityHerein,we establish precise formulas for computing the resilience of a Key predis-tribution scheme(KPS)obtained from an Orthogonal array(OA).Further,we study the connectivity and resilience of the Broadcast-enhanced key predistribution scheme(BEKP-S)based on OAs and improve the existing methods.We also present precise formulas for evaluating the resilience of these schemes based on any number of partitions,completely solving the problem regarding the resilience of this type of BEKPSsIn addition,we obtain precise computation formulas for ensuring the connectivity of two partitions under the condition that each pair of trees from different partitions intersects at exactly one node.Further,we present a general approximate formula for evaluating the connectivity of three or more partitions,and provide a positive solution to the open problem that in Kendall et al.’s paper in ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks(Vol.11,No.1,2014)We conclude that for this type of BEKPSs,connectivity increases,whereas resilience remains unchanged as the number of partitions increases.A comparison of the obtained results and the previously reported results reveals the superior performance of the proposed BEKPSsThis thesis consists of five chaptersChapter 1 introduces the research significance and research background of the thesis,some notations,the key definitions and lemmasChapter 2 derives the accurate formula of resilience of a KPS based on OA,Ln2(nk).Chapter 3 constructs BEKPSs from OAs based on a general protocol framework and studys their connectivity and resilience in various situationsChapter 4 compares the obtained results with the previous research results by com-puter experiments.The result revea.ls the superior performance of the proposed schemes.Chapter 5 summarizes the above results,and provides some directions for research in the future.
