| Maker courses are innovative courses that are different from the traditional courses and emerge with the development of maker education.They are specific manifestations of practicing the maker education concept.Maker courses have a great impetus to train students’ innovation awareness and innovation ability by carrying out design activities and practical activities.At present,maker courses have been gradually promoted and popularized in primary schools,but the main problem in the process of maker courses is that teachers’maker course design and development capabilities need to be further improved,and design methods and processes need to be further standardized.In view of this,it is very necessary to investigate the current status of the design and development of maker courses in primary schools,and according to the results of the survey to design a framework for maker courses to cultivate innovation ability.This study introduces curriculums development theory,happy learning theory,learn by doing theory,and project-based learning theory as the theoretical basis to define related concepts.Using questionnaire survey method,the teachers of Wuhan G primary school,W primary school and H primary school were taken as the survey objects,and the design of the maker course in the primary school was designed from the aspects of basic information,views and attitudes,design and development status,problems and suggestions.A survey was conducted with the current development status.The survey results show that the maker courses are basically popularized in primary schools in Wuhan.Teachers’attention and participation in the maker courses are relatively high.The main problems in the design and development of maker course in elementary school are the curriculum system is not perfect,the course resources are not sound enough,the design methods are not reasonable,and the teaching results are not ideal.Aiming at the existing problems,taking the cultivation of students’ innovative ability as the guide,the design framework of elementary school maker courses was constructed from four aspects of design ideas,design principles,design content,and design methods,and each element of the design framework was explained in detail.Afterwards,based on the designed framework of maker course for elementary schools,robot programming course was selected as a design case,from the course positioning,course goal,course content,course teaching method,course resource construction and course evaluation to design the maker course.Taking bing bing sending tickets in robot programming course as an example,the specific development of the elementary school maker course was carried out.This research is helpful to form a standardized design method and process for maker courses in primary schools,optimize existing maker courses design schemes,enrich the theoretical vision of maker courses in primary schools,and promote the application and development of maker courses in primary schools.The limitation of this study is mainly due to the impact of 2019-nCoV.The proposed maker course design framework for elementary Schools and robot programming curriculum design scheme have not been actually used in the maker course design for primary schools,and their rationality and feasibility need to be further tested. |
