Objective of the research: To analyze the delivery mode’s effect on body shape, the physical fitness of health and athletics as well as other key indexes of growth of the children by comparing the test results for key indexes of physical fitness for children aged 3-6 years who were delivered in different ways.Objects and methods of the research: According to natural delivery and cesarean delivery,30 male and 30 female children were selected from each age group of 3 to 6years of age as objects for this research. The basic body shape, the physical fitness of health and athletics and other 19 key indexes were analyzed and compared by referring to literatures, expert interview, questionnaire, test and data analysis method.Results:1.The proportion of children with abnormal weight in the group of cesarean delivery was higher than that in the group of natural delivery. The distribution of weight index was statistically different between the two groups(p <0.05).The weight of children in the group of cesarean delivery showed greater instability. These children’ risks of obesity and overweight were higher than that in the group of natural delivery. There were no significant differences in other morphological indexes(p>0.05).2.In general, there were no significant differences on indexes of health related physical fitness, including the body composition(resting heart rate,times/minute),muscular fitness(grip strength/N),fitness of flexibility(sit and reach/cm),fitness of muscular endurance(side support with two hands/s)for children with different delivery modes. However,X ± SD(mean ± variance)of the cardiopulmonary fitness(lung capacity/ml)for children in the group of cesarean delivery was lower than that in the group of natural delivery. The test data for both male and female children aged from 3 to 4 years were statistically significant.3.Generally,there was no significant difference in indexes of athletics related physical fitness, including the lower limb strength(continuous jumping with two feet/s),speed(20m run/s),and sensitivity(10m shuttle run/s)for the tested children(p> 0.05).The explosive power(standing long jump/cm)of children aged from 3 to 4years,the strength of upper limb(tennis throwing /m)of 5-year-old children, and the coordinate ability of 10-year-old female children(10-meter crawling with both hands and feet/s)had statistical significance(p <0.05);There were significant differences in the static balance(single foot with eyes closed/s)for both male and female children aged from 3 to 4 years and the dynamic balance(walking on thebalance beam/s)for both male and female children aged from 5 to 6 years. The completion rate of walking on the balance beam for children delivered by cesarean(87.5%)was lower than that for male children delivered in natural way(94.2%)among 480 children.Conclusions:1.The test results of both groups of early childhood physical fitness indicators improved with age, compared with those of young children born naturally with a higher rate of increase than those of children born by caesarean section.2.There was no significant correlation between the test results of the basic body morphology index of natural child birth and the toddler by caesarean section, but the risk of obesity in children born by caesarean section was relatively high and may have potential effects on later weight development.3.There was no difference between caesarean section and natural child birth in healthy physical fitness index(body composition, flexible fitness, muscle fitness, muscle endurance fitness),but there was a significant difference in cardiopulmonary fitness(lung capacity/ml).4.The test results of the overall athletic fitness index show that the difference in balance ability is significant, indicating that the mode of delivery has a certain correlation between the development of the forecourt and balance ability of young children, although there is no effect on(speed, explosive ness, sensitivity, upper limb strength, coordination ability, etc.),but the test results of natural childbirth are better than those of caesarean section children, and the long-term impact needs to be tracked in evaluation.
