The course of Ideological and political theory in Colleges and universities is the main channel of Ideological and political education for college students,and also the key course to complete the task of educating people in the new era.The key to running ideological and political courses well is teachers.Since the eighteen Party Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has expounded the key role of Ideological and political teachers in many times,and the new requirements of "six essentials" and "eight unifications" are put forward for them.It is of significance to improve the quality of Ideological and political teachers in Colleges and universities in terms of building a high-level ideological and political teachers team,giving full play to the main channel role of Ideological and political courses in Colleges and universities,and cultivating all-round development talents in the new era.Through literature review,questionnaire survey and interviews with teachers,this paper studies the improvement of Ideological and political teachers’ quality in the new era.First of all,it sums up the composition of the literacy of Ideological and political teachers in the new era,including five basic literacy: political literacy,moral literacy,theoretical literacy,ability literacy and modern literacy.Secondly,based on the results of the questionnaire and interview,this paper summarizes the positive situation of Ideological and political teachers’ literacy in Colleges and universities: the overall political literacy has been enhanced;the theoretical foundation has been continuously strengthened;the mainstream of teachers’ morality and style is good;the effect of education and teaching has been improved.At the same time,there are also deficiencies in their literacy: the level of comprehensive literacy is uneven,the ability of teaching and scientific research is unbalanced,the ideal and belief are vague,the job burnout is obvious,and the innovation ability needs to be improved.It is mainly attributed to: the multi value orientation of utility impacts the ideological and political teaching;some colleges and universities do not pay enough attention to the construction of Ideological and political teachers;the evaluation and incentive mechanism of Ideological and political teachers in Colleges and universities is not sound;a few colleges and universities ideological and political teachers role awareness is not strong;somecolleges and universities ideological and political teachers lack awareness of promotion.Finally,the paper puts forward the specific promotion path from the three aspects of the country,universities and ideological and political teachers.At the national level,we should create a macro environment to improve the quality of Ideological and political teachers,that is the close combination of policy-making and effective implementation,strengthen the construction of Marxist theory discipline,and create a good social fashion of respecting teachers and teaching.At the university level,a set of long-term mechanism to improve the quality of Ideological and political teachers is established by improving the access and exit mechanism of teachers,establishing a scientific assessment and incentive mechanism and improving the systematic training mechanism.As the key subject of Ideological and political courses,Ideological and political teachers should attach importance to self-improvement.They should enhance the political literacy in the clear role orientation;pay attention to the cultivation of teachers’ morality to improve the spiritual realm;enhance the theoretical literacy through the solid theoretical foundation;improve teaching and research level based on Students;increase knowledge and experience in social practice. |
