Due to the social stratification and differentiation in the process of social and economic development in China,the transmission of poverty between generations is obvious,and education is the key measure to stop this phenomenon.Poor families than other family restricted by more economic condition,leading to poor children in the aspect of cultural capital and social status are the differences with other children,early needy children in physical and mental health,cognitive ability and learning ability easy to appear problem,personal development and for the future of children’s physical and mental health growth will have far-reaching influence.The author with 30 from Hubei Hong An poor children as an example,analyzes the current situation of poor children,found that the existence of economic constraints,the lack of cultural capital and social status of inequality problem,based on the theory of cognitive behavior by adopting the method of group work professional education for poor children confidence barrier design a series of methods for social work practice,using a semi-structured interview,observation method,questionnaire method to evaluate practice process and result,and found that social workers to help poor children in the aspect of self,family,society has a clear cognition helps to stimulate the subjective initiative,from "spontaneous learning" to "independent learning",Moreover,poor children who receive more emotional support from their families have better academic performance.The intervention of social work can also indirectly affect more attention and support from schools and the society.Poor children have changed from the cognitive level to the action level,and finally build academic confidence.In the process of research,we also found some areas that need to be improved,such as the insufficiency of research methods,the contradiction between generality and individuality,and the conflict between professionalism and entertainment.These points can be regarded as the directions for future practical research design to be improved.
