| Human society has always been fighting poverty,and getting rid of poverty is the common pursuit of all mankind.With the process of the Economic Reform and open up of China,the economy and society with rapid development and the people’s living standards have been significantly improved.However,at the same time,there is a contradiction that some people get rich first and others are still in poverty.In the new era of socialist development,the Party and the government regard poverty alleviation as the chief people’s livelihood project and significant political duty in the‘13th Five-Year Plan ’period.The important role of education in poverty eradication has gradually reached consensus.The poverty alleviation through education is an important measure to overcome poverty in‘13th Five-Year Plan’.However,there are still currently 43.35 million people nationwide and 66,935 people in Danzhou,Hainan province of China have not escaped poverty.It will take more efforts from the government and society to alleviate the poverty in 2020 and maintain and consolidate this achievement.Danzhou is located in the northwestern of Hainan province and is an underdeveloped area.Among the cities and counties in Hainan,this area has the largest number of poor people and the greatest difficulty in poverty alleviation.The criminal activities of telecommunication network fraud have always been a stubborn disease that plagued Danzhou.In October 2015,the State Council of China listed Danzhou as a ‘focused area for telecommunication fraud’.At that time,many‘fraud villages’ appeared.Some young participated actively or passively,it seriously affected the image and development of Danzhou.In recent years,the telecommunication network fraud has kept within limits a lot under the heavy blow of the government,but the origin of this phenomenon is the imperfection of education.In order to effectively promote the development of education,Danzhou continued to increase financial input in accordance with the national policy of poverty alleviation in education.The school conditions have been partly improved,and the burden of schooling for poveny-stricken households has been reduced.However,the situation of poverty alleviation of education is still severe.The main reason is insufficient investment in education,backward educational infrastructure,insufficient teachers and irrational structure,and insufficient attention to education.These have seriously affected the education of students in distressed area.Through interviews,questionnaires,and case studies,this article studies the education and poverty alleviation in Danzhou,discusses the existing problems,and proposes countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problems. |
