In recent years, school bullying occurs frequently. Some middle school students are often isolated and bullied because of their poor interpersonal skills, which brings a huge burden to the development of their physical and mental health. So what affects the interpersonal skills of middle school students? Some studies have shown that middle school students with a high sense of alienation exhibit more extreme behaviors such as aggression or withdrawal, and have difficulties in emotional control and building good relationships, which leads to interpersonal apathy and social anxiety.Previous studies have made important contributions to the analysis of the psychological abnormality and behavioral abnormality of middle school students because of their alienation, but there are few studies on the formation process and intervention mechanism of alienation in middle school students. It is of great significance for the middle school mental health work to analyze the many shaping factors and make effective psychological intervention of alienation. From the perspective of the ecosystem theory, early family experience plays a crucial role in shaping individuals’ psychological level,so we hypothesize that psychological abuse and neglect in childhood may have a certain influence on the formation of middle school students’ alienation. However, individuals have suffered from childhood traumatic experience do not necessarily lead to a strong sense of interpersonal alienation, and may be other factors that reduce the incidence of alienation.According to the social buffer theory, perceived social support may make up for the lack of psychological needs caused by psychological abuse and neglect in childhood, and the satisfaction of basic psychological needs maintains the individual’s physical and mental balance,so it inhibits the generation of alienation. In order to verify the relationship and influence mechanism between psychological abuse and neglect and alienation of middle school students, this research explored questionnaire survey to collect data from 445 middle school students in Nanning. These students were investigated with four scales:Child psychological abuse and neglect scale;Adolescent students’ alienation scale;Perceived social support scale and Basic psychological needs scale.SPSS21.0 and Amos21.0 software were used for the statistical analysis of data and the construction of the structural equation model. The main results were as follows:(1)Child psychological abuse and neglect, alienation, perceived of social support, and basic psychological needs are significantly related to each other.(2)Psychological abuse and neglect in childhood could significantly predicted the sense of middle school students’ alienation(? =0.297,P<0.01).Perceived social support and basic psychological needs could significantly predicted the sense of middle school students’ alienation(?=-0.337,-0.737,P<0.01).(3)Perceived social support and basic psychological needs play a partial mediating role between psychological abuse and neglect and alienation;Perceived social support and basic psychological needs play a chain mediating effect between psychological abuse and neglect and alienation. The mediating effect accounts for 35.3%.This study explores the factors that contribute to the alienation of middle school students, and analyzes the impact of early psychological abuse and neglect on it according to the ecosystem theory, which makes up for the deficiency of current research.Future studies can investigate the reason why middle school students have senses of alienation from the perspective of other factors, such as school, society and so on,and explore ways to reduce the level of students’ alienation and improve their interpersonal skills. In terms of the effect mechanism of psychological abuse and neglect on students’ alienation, this paper analyzes the significance of perceived social support and the satisfaction of basic psychological needs to reduce or inhibit the alienation experience, which is helpful for us to do more targeted psychological adjustment for middle school students. In school mental health education, teachers should pay more attention to and care for students or make them help each other.By carrying out corresponding group activities, students can deepen their understanding of each other and protect their physical and mental health. This paper has some enlightenment significance on how to reduce students’ alienation, improve the quality of their interpersonal relationship, weaken the adverse effects of psychological abuse or neglect in childhood and promote the physical and mental health development of teenagers.
