| Objective: To study the effect of complex training and traditional strength training on the running economy of middle-aged male long-distance runners. Methods: 12 middle-aged male long-distance runners were randomly divided into 2 groups,6 in the complex training group and 6 in the traditional strength training group. In addition to completing the moderate intensity running training of 3hours per week, the subjects in the complex training group received the complex training twice a week, and the traditional strength training group received the traditional strength training twice a week. The training contents of complex training group include: barbell squat(3 × 5),instrument leg extension(3 × 5),box jump(3 × 12),split squat jump(3 × 12).The training contents of traditional strength training group include: barbell squat(3 × 5),instrument leg extension(3 × 5),single leg straight leg hard pull(3 × 12 on each side),split leg squat(3 × 12).Before and after the training, the maximum oxygen uptake, vertical jump, body composition,Wingate anaerobic power, running economy at different speeds, and the electromyography and 3km performance of the main muscles of the lower limbs were tested. The independent sample t-test was used for comparison between groups, and the paired t-test was used for comparison before and after the same group. Results: after six weeks of training, the results of 3km running in the complex training group were significantly improved(P < 0.05),while the results of 3km running in the traditional strength training group were not significantly changed;the running economy in the complex training group was significantly improved under the two speeds(P < 0.05,P < 0.01),but there was no significant change in the traditional strength training group;the utilization rate of lower limb muscle elastic energy in the complex training group was significantly increased(P < 0.01),while the utilization rate of lower limb muscle elastic energy in the second traditional strength training group was not significantly changed;the gluteus maximus, rectus femoris, biceps femoris and anterior tibia muscle in the complex training group and the traditional strength training group were at a speed of 10 km / h and 13 km / h There was no significant change in RMS,but the RMS decreased significantly in the complex training group(P < 0.01);there was no significant change in the maximum oxygen uptake, lean body weight, body fat rate and Wingate anaerobic power in the complex training group and the traditional strength training group. Conclusion: complex training can significantly improve the running economy of middle-aged male long-distance runners, while traditional strength training has no significant effect on the running economy of middle-aged male long-distance runners.Complex training can improve the running economy of middle-aged male long-distance runners through the following two aspects. On the one hand,it can improve the utilization rate of the main muscle elastic energy of the lower limbs during running, and on the other hand,it can reduce the strength of the lower limbs during running. For the middle-aged male long-distance running enthusiasts,in addition to the daily endurance training, adding complex training to their own training plan will have a more positive effect on improving their own performance. |
