With international competition becoming increasingly fierce,the reform and development of education have become the main strategies for both developed and developing countries to participate in international competition.Most of the countries have introduced a series of educational reform policies and measures to promote the modernization of education through educational informatization.Our country also attaches great importance to the construction and development of educational informatization.As a key link and an important part of the construction and development of modern education informatization,the quality of middle school education informatization seriously affects the quality of education throughout the country and the future development of teenagers.Since the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China released the Ten-year Development Plan for Educational Informatization(2011-2020)in 2012,the middle school education informatization has made substantial changes and achievements in the aspects of hardware and software infrastructure,special fund investment,development and application of educational information system,etc.However,under the shackles of limited educational resources,the informatization of middle school education in less developed areas,with many problems still existing,cannot meet the required level,which leads to the serious imbalance of the overall development of middle school education informatization.Based on the collection and analysis of the domestic and international correlative research and data of education informatization,as well as the investigation of the status quo of middle school education informatization in Y City,an underdeveloped area,by means of interview and questionnaire,this paper summarizes the present situation of middle school education informatization in underdeveloped areas,finds out the existing problems,and probes into the concrete reasons that cause these problems.Also,combined with the problems and causes,as well as the author’s own work experience and understanding of middle school education informatization,this paper proposes the corresponding countermeasures to offer theoretical instruction for the optimization and development of educational informatization in underdeveloped areas.This paper consists of the following parts: the first part is the introduction,which introduces the background of choosing the topic,the objective and significance of the domestic and abroad research,the research actuality,research methods and research ideas;the second part states the related concepts and theoretical basis,explaining the concepts and basic theories related to the informatization of middle school education;the third part introduces the present situation,analyzing the present situation of middle school education informatization in underdeveloped areas,and taking Y city as an example to illustrate in detail;the fourth part covers the analysis of the problems consisting in the construction and development of educational informatization in underdeveloped areas,in combination with the current situation of the development of educational informatization in underdeveloped areas;the fifth part,based on the problems mentioned above,proposes some corresponding countermeasures such as improving the management policies on education informatization in middle school,establishing an ensuring system for the city information technology,digging the financing channels of education information construction,strengthening the construction of education information infrastructure and resources in middle school,taking multiple measures to enhance the ability of teachers and students to apply educational information technology,and restructuring teachers’,students’ and parents’ cognition of educational informatization;the last chapter is a summary of the above content and a vision of the future,which indicates the limitations in the research,the issues to be further investigated and the directions for future research.
