Research On The Relative Poverty Of Rural Women In Western China

Since the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China,China has made remarkable achievements in poverty governance.Absolute poverty has been historically eliminated,and poverty governance has shifted to relative poverty.Due to the influence of multiple factors,rural women in the western region are not only the key objects of assistance during the era of absolute poverty governance,but also the vulnerable groups who are relatively impoverished after the historic elimination of absolute poverty.The relative poverty of rural women in the western region is of great significance.After sorting out relevant research results at home and abroad,this paper draws on the theory of feasible ability to interpret the performance of rural women’s poverty in the western region from five dimensions: political participation,economic income,social opportunity,transparency guarantee and protective guarantee.This paper analyzes the causes of rural women’s relative poverty in terms of traditional cultural concepts and current institutional systems.At the same time,this paper constructs an index system suitable for rural women in western China.Using the AF doublethreshold method,through the latest data of the China Family Tracking Survey CFPS database,the indicators that are in line with the relevant data of rural women,rural men and urban women in western China are screened out and calculated.Single-dimensional and multi-dimensional relative poverty incidence among rural women in western China.Based on the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward suggestions on the governance of the relative poverty of rural women in western China from the perspective of the instrumental variables of feasible capabilities,namely,political freedom,economic conditions,social opportunities,transparency guarantees and protective guarantees.The construction of a harmonious society and the promotion of common prosperity provide certain lessons and references.
