Research On The Organizational Factors And Strategies Of Women’s Poverty Alleviation In Ethnic Poor Villages ——A Case Study Of Xi Jiang Village In GuiZhou Province

Compared with the male minorities in ethnic areas of Guizhou,the female minorities suffer more from poverty and are less likely to get help owing to the influence of transportation and traditional farming culture in the work of targeted poverty alleviation.In the context of vigorously promoting poverty alleviation through tourism in ethnic areas,women in rural areas play a significant role in boosting tourism and how they are organized will affect women’s poverty alleviation.However,there are few theoretical studies on women’s organization in academic realm.This thesis,centering on the influence of environmental factors and organizational factors on the organization of ethnic women in rural areas in the process of poverty alleviation,is aimed to transform the concept of poverty alleviation of ethnic women and innovate the practice of poverty alleviation of ethnic women in rural areas.Based on the current poverty problem of ethnic in rural area of China,this thesis puts forward a theoretical hypothesis of organizational factors in women’s poverty reduction process by means of synthesizing the institutional economics system theory,Barnard’s theory of organizational elements as well as the new theory of organizational sociology to incorporate the ethnic women’s organizations in rural areas with poverty alleviation policies.In the meantime,organizational factors and environmental factors are constructed on the basis of Barnard’s theory of organizational balance.Among them,the organizational factors include four variables: organizational goals,organizational willingness,organizational incentives,and organizational rules;environmental factors are concerned with two variables including formal system and informal system.According to the results of SPSS analysis,the four variables of organizational factors and the two variables of environmental factors are significantly related to the organizational behavior of ethnic women in rural areas,indicating that ethnic women are in need of organization.With the supports and assistance from the government,the organized women are able to lift themselves off poverty.Therefore,measures can be taken from the following respects.First,the government should perfect relevant policies and regulations for ethnic women in need in rural areas and provide a good external environment for poverty alleviation accordingly.Second,women will be more willing to be involved in organization as a result of a good cultural atmosphere,which could be created by advocating gender equality and promoting mutual understanding and support between male and female.Third,for individual woman,they should be open-minded and take the initiative to learn and participate in training,especially in basic language training and service-related training.
