A Study On The Spiritual Old-age Care Of Empty Nest Elders In Yue Qing Rural Areas

In the process of China’s reform and opening up and urbanization,cities have attracted a large number of rural young and middle-aged labor force to leave the countryside for work due to their resource advantages in medical treatment,education and employment,etc.This causes the traditional family structure of large family gathering to move towards the development trend of decentralization.The traditional form of family pension appears the trend of decline,rural pension security arises at the historic moment.Although the guaranteed amount seems a drop in the bucket,it still alleviates the economic pressure of elderly farmers to some extent.In addition,the elderly farmers have the habit of saving,the material endowment problem has been alleviated to a large extent.However,affected by the lack of children’s company,the decline of physical and mental strength,and the lack of recreational activities in rural areas,rural empty nest old man’s physical and mental health is worrying.It intensifies the rural aging population and the development of the rural social contradictions,triggers a series of social governance problems,mental pension problems and becomes the current rural empty-nest elderly the focus problem.This paper focuses on the mental pension problems of empty-nesters in rural areas of Yueqing City,taking Liushi Town and Dajing Town as examples,180 samples are selected for investigation.By means of questionnaire and field interview,this paper understands the basic status quo of the spiritual pension for the empty nesters in rural Areas of Yueqing City,summarizes the achievements made in the spiritual pension for the empty nesters in rural areas of Yueqing,and analyzes the existing difficulties and the main reasons for the spiritual pension for the empty nesters in rural areas.After sorting out and analyzing the survey results and data,it is found that the empty-nesters in rural areas have some problems,such as weak consciousness of spiritual self-care,low participation in social and cultural activities,lack of sense of security and lack of deep social concept of helping the elderly.That is,first,the rural empty-nesters themselves to overcome the negative pension mentality,strengthen the awareness of spiritual self-care;Secondly,we should strive to create a family atmosphere of respecting and loving the elderly to satisfy their family longing;Third,it is necessary to strengthen the community support force,strengthen the neighborhood affinity atmosphere;Fourth,it can refine the grassroots governance system and improve the level of accurate services.Fifth,we should strengthen the spirit of volunteerism and encourage public participation.
