Research On The Development Course Of Taonan Revolutionary Base In The Northeast China Liberation War

General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized during his visits in revolutionary bases of Xi Baipo,Gu Tian and Zunyi that the historical research in revolutionary bases should be enhanced by summarizing historical experiences and better carrying out the revolutionary spirit and fine conduct born by the revolutionary bases.In July 2020,General Secreatry Xi Jinping emphasized again in visiting Siping Battle Memorial Hall that we must bear in mind the blood and lives of our revolutionary forefathers for the cause of China’s revolution,remember that the new China did not come easily.Keeping is harder than starting a business.Party members,officials and the general public should study and understand the history of the Party and the new Chinese history,and carry forward the great cause of socialism founded under the leadership of the Party and the people from generation to generation.Taonan Base Area is an important part of the west Manchuria Base Area during the Northeast Liberation War,which makes outstanding contribution to the victory of the Northeast Liberation War and the whole country,and has important historical research value.This paper mainly discusses from three parts: the first part elaborates the historical background of the establishment of Taonan Base Area,including the important strategic position of the northeast and Taonan area,the complicated political situation in Taonan area and the oppression of the people politically,economically and in thought;Secondly,it expounds the realistic conditions for the establishment of Taonan Base Area,including the steady development and growth of the CPC Party organization and the increasing of the revolutionary armed forces in Taonan area and the smooth development of the people’s work.The second part summarizes the establishment,consolidation and comprehensive development of various undertakings in Taonan Base Area,including the proposition of establishing Taonan Base Area by the CPC Central Committee,the strengthening of government building in prefectures and counties and the strengthening of the construction of prefectural and county’s political power and eliminating the reactionary forces,with the focuses on strengthening Party organization construction,land reform,armed struggle,development of national industry and commerce and development of people’s education;the third part summarizes the historical effects and basic experience of Taonan Base Area during the Northeast Liberation War.The historical effects include Party’s leading role in the northeast region politically,the comprehensive support in Northeast and National Liberation War militarily,and providing strong support in the northeastern armed forces logistically;the basic experience includes we should always adhere to the CPC’s leading role,always emphasize the ideological and political work,and should always strengthen the grass-roots Party organization construction.By collecting historical materials and sorting out and integrating them,this paper studies the historical role and basic experience of the Taonan Base Area during the Northeast Liberation War,hoping to provide a useful reference for the study of the Northeast Base Area.
