| Increasing rural migrant workers’ willingness to settle in cities is an important measure to accelerate high-quality development of urbanization. However,at present, migrant workers are not willing to settle down in cities. One obstacle is high property prices in the cities and slumbering housing assets in the countryside.Based on the push-pull theory as the main framework, combining the theory of living behavior and social integration theory, using the survey data of dynamic monitoring of the floating population in China in 2017,based on the structural equation model, studies the nanning urban and rural migrant workers housing situation for its willingness to become urban residents and to explore the influence of the social integration factors how to adjust the effect. This paper draws the following conclusions: the housing status of migrant workers in cities has a significantly positive impact on their willingness to settle down in cities; The rural housing situation of migrant workers inhibits their willingness to settle down in cities. The social integration status of migrant workers can improve their willingness to settle in cities, and can adjust the relationship between urban and rural housing conditions and their willingness to settle in cities.Based on the above findings, this paper proposes that on the one hand,we should continuously improve the housing security system to enhance the housing security level of migrant workers, and on the other hand,we should properly handle the homestead rights and interests of migrant workers. In addition, promoting the social integration of migrant workers is also an important way to improve the willingness of migrant workers to settle down in cities. |
