The Integration Of Migrant Workers Into City Life Of Difficulties And Solutions

Migrant workers play important role in realizing industrialization, urbanization and modernization of our country. As the development of social economy and improvement of agricultural modernization, an increasing number of rural migrant workers are moving to the city for employment and daily life. Those migrant workers, connect with both rural area and town, becomes the supporters in solving the long existed urban-rural dual system problem. In helping the rural migrant workers integrate themselves into the city life, we can gradually achieve the objective of city leads rural development, industry nurturing agriculture growth and balanced rural-city development. At the same time, migrant workers are also special labor group that produced from the domestic social policy innovation. Because of their specialization, those migrant workers turn their role to real citizens in a very slow pace and sometimes fall into the "city edge people" type. Our country is now at a stage of accelerated industrialization and urbanization when the rural population urbanization becomes the long-term trend. It has great significance to promote domestic economic development and build well-off society if the migrant worker’s social integration problem get solved.The first chapter studies the background and research significance of the migrant workers topic.
