The food security problem caused by the shortage of young labor force is being paid more and more attention by the society. It is considered that developing modern agriculture is an effective strategy. In order to develop modern agriculture,we must make the rural areas become the talent gathering places. As a high-quality quasi labor force with high education and professional knowledge, college graduates should be regarded as candidates for young farmers. The phenomenon of high-quality talents gathering often occurs in the livable environment, and the environmental characteristics of employment migration place play an important role in the selection of graduates. Therefore, the influence of the environmental factors on the attraction or extrusion of talents is becoming a new direction to study the talent aggregation effect. In the context of the implementation of rural revitalization, this paper takes college graduates as the rural high-quality labor reserve talents as the entry point, and explores the impact of rural nature and living environment on the rural employment of graduates.Based on the questionnaire "A Study on the Characteristics of Rural Employment of Agricultural University Graduates from the Perspective of Rural Revitalization",a questionnaire survey was carried out in May 2018 for senior college graduates across the country. After collecting and summarization of the questionnaires, the analysis was limited to 1078 valid samples, and the follow-up research database was constructed.Based on spatial analysis and model separation, the influencing factors of rural employment of graduates were deeply explored. The main findings are as follows :(1)In terms of the migration and flow patterns of graduates, they tend to flow into regions with better climatic conditions, such as climatic zones I and II,and the distribution regions are relatively concentrated. The climate zones III and IV have weak ability to attract talents, and there is a large outflow of graduates.(2)In the model analysis of graduates’ climate migration, male graduates pay more attention to the climate and other living environment, and the possibility of employment is greater when they migrate to regions with better climate. The social capital of the family has a great influence on the selection of the employment location of the sample graduates.Such graduates pay little attention to the environment and are less likely to migrate to the climate. Most of them choose to return to their hometown for employment.Graduates with non-minority nationality,Party membership, rural household registration and characteristics of agricultural major have a greater tendency to migrate to areas with poorer climate for employment.(3)From the perspective of the background characteristics of rural human settlements, graduates tend to work in villages with developed industries, livable ecology and good cultural environment. The ecological environment construction in rural areas plays a positive role in attracting talents. To find out the relationship between environmental factors and graduates’ rural employment, and to guide graduates’ rural employment reasonably, has important reference value for promoting the construction of rural livable environment and realizing the balanced distribution of talents.Encouraging graduates to participate in agricultural production and improving the current agricultural production and operation mode are of great significance to China’s future food security. |
