| The digital transformations that have upsurged the work field, precisely social media, have prompted governmental,non-governmental,profit&non-profit organizations to implement strategies or policies to realize their financial, organizational, and managerial goals.Social media has created enough room for the discourse to be appreciated on the international scene. While some organizations in these developing economies, such as Ghana, may not have been early supporters and cannot be given the total value of this digitalization, social media development on the world stage has expanded its symbolic power worldwide. It has become a pillar of a new kind of accountability, openness, connectivity, and participatory culture.Currently, public administration research sturdily endorses the discussions, ensuring administrator-citizen collaborations and showing that Web 2.0 social media tools can increase these collaborations. This research observes influences to determine if they are the reason for social media adoption in public service institutions.A questionnaire was used as the survey instrument to elicit data from 405 respondents, showing that 94.1%of the respondents are presently using social media tools from the Responsiveness and the Technology Acceptance Theory. The Analysis of Moments of Structures(AMOS)was applied to the study to run statistical data analysis based on the Structural Equation Modeling(SEM)technique. From the 405 responses gathered,Males constituted(56%),and Females(44%).The findings of the study exposed that;perceived ease of use(β=.110*,p<0.05,t=2.056),perceived public and media influences(β=.184***,p<0.001,t=3.982),perceived organizational culture(β=.409***,p<0.001,t=5.016)and perceived usefulness(β=.411***,p<0.001,t=7.165),all had a significant positive relationship with responsiveness.Furthermore, the study results indicated that responsiveness had a substantial positive connection with behavioral intention(β=.459***,p<0.001,t=9.720).Lastly,the study discovered that perceived risks as a moderator negatively affected the relationship between responsiveness and behavioral intention(β=-.165***,p<0.001,t=6.170)In view of the above,it is indispensable for policy makers to take into account the blend of factors that can lead to the behavioural intention of using social media for work purposes. |
