Research On The Correction Of Criminals With Short Sentences

In 2014,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC)under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping explained the "Overall National Security" deeply.As the "knife handle" of the Party and the people,prison is an important organic component under the framework of national security.The prominent function is not only reflected in the "bottom line" safety of "not running away",but also in the "fundamental" safety of criminal correction according to law and effectively preventing and reducing recidivism.This is not only an important topic for the high-quality construction of modern prisons,but also a necessary meaning for the study of law and criminology.Recently,China’s criminal correction system has been continuously improved,but there is a lack of targeted research and discussion on the education and correction of short-term criminals.Therefore,taking L prison in J province as the specific research object,the research on the criminal correction with short sentences is carried out systematically.The outstanding characteristics of short-term criminals are deeply excavated.Focusing on the analysis of their psychological characteristics and correction difficulties,feasible suggestions are put forward in the aspects of laws and regulations,situation and policies,prison governance and social results.From the perspective of "fundamental safety concept",a systematic methodology for the prevention of recidivism of short-term criminals after their release from prison is constructed.The first part is the introduction,which mainly expounds the background and research value,summarizes the relevant research results at home and abroad,points out the development trend of the research,and explains the main contents and research methods.The second part analyzes the basic problems of correcting criminals with short sentences.One is to characterize the relevant concepts of the research content,the other is to explain the current situation of education and correction of short-term criminals,mainly including the situation of recidivism,relevant laws and policies and the current correction work of prison,society and other correction subjects.From subjective and objective aspects,focusing on the characteristics ofshort-term criminals,the third part finds out the advantages and disadvantages of the relevant characteristics of short-term criminals in correction,and further understands the correction object comprehensively in comparison with the characteristics of long-term criminals.The fourth part analyzes the current reality dilemma of short-term criminal correction in our country,and makes a three-dimensional and comprehensive analysis from the four aspects of the country,society,family and individual criminals respectively,and summarizes the dilemma reason.The fifth part puts forward the idea of scientific correction of short-term criminals based on the perspective of "fundamental safety concept" in view of the difficulties and reasons of correction,and makes every effort to construct a complete education correction system.Specifically,it needs to improve laws,regulations and policy systems,cultivate a good education atmosphere in families and society,explore the high-quality modern scientific correction model and dig the dynamic value of the correction target.
