A Study Of The Peach Blossom Fan From The Perspective Of Literati Mentality

The study of literati’s mentality has broken through the scope of literature in many aspects,and involves historical facts,social trends of thought and the situation of literati themselves.The discussion on the mentality of literati can be regarded as a way to understand the historical appearance,political situation and cultural psychology of a specific period.This thesis will explore the "Peach Blossom Fan" from the perspective of the mentality of the literati,and discuss the evolution of the mentality of the literati under the choice of different political paths during the changing era,and then analyze Kong Shangren as a playwright.The influence of its creative mentality on drama creation.This paper is mainly divided into three parts,a total of four chapters.The first part is the introduction,which firstly introduces the origin of the research,and then summarizes the research status of the two major topics,"Mentality of the Yi Dynasty literati in Ming and Qing Dynasties" and "Peach Blossom Fan" and Kong Shangren’s research.ideas and methods.The second part is the main part of the thesis.The first chapter aims to grasp the historical and cultural background of "Peach Blossom Fan",that is,the Nanming period during the Yi Dynasty and the mentality of the literati in this period,and to explore the complex mentality of the literati and the rivalry among the party members during the change of government and politics.The mentality of victory and the mentality of Nanming literati mentioned in "Peach Blossom Fan".The second chapter focuses on analyzing the mentality of Hou Fangyu,the representative of the literati and the literati of the restored society,in "Peach Blossom Fan" and its expression in creation,recovering the mentality of the literati in its history,in order to explore the Hou Fangyu in drama on this basis.The ending is different from that of Hou Fangyu in history to reflect the conflicting and struggling mentality of the literati for the choice of the old and new dynasties during the Yi Dynasty.The third chapter specifically discusses the official mentality of Ruan Dacheng,who is in contrast to Hou Fangyu’s position as the second official of the Qing Dynasty and the remnant of the eunuch,and deeply explores how the literati who was in the transition period chose another political path.special state of mind.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the literati’s mentality as the narrator through the analysis of Kong Shangren’s creative experience and creative consciousness,combined with the writing of Chinese writers in "Peach Blossom Fan".The third part is the conclusion part,which summarizes the full text,and makes a judgment on the subsequent discussion of "Peach Blossom Fan" and the literati thoughts in it from more perspectives.The thesis mainly selects two representative literati in "Peach Blossom Fan",Hou Fangyu and Ruan Dacheng are the two mentalities of the remnant and the second minister in history.The research on the mentality of Chinese people in "Peach Blossom Fan" can examine the mentality of literati in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,and deeply explore the meaning of mentality in literary creation.
