| Xu Shen’s “Shuo Wen Jie Zi” in the Han Dynasty,which plays a pivotal role in the history of Chinese philology,its influence on later generations lasted for more than thousands of years.The study of "Shuo Wen" has existed since its inception,and then gradually formed a specialized subject,namely "Shuo Wen".The Editing of "Shuo Wen" by the Two Brothers Xu Xuan and Xu Kai(Hereinafter referred to as "the Two Xu")in the Southern Tang Dynasty,was an significant milestone in the development history of "Shuo Wen",and the versions of "Shuo Wen" used afterwards were mostly edited by the Two Xu."Shuo Wen" developed to its peak in the Qing Dynasty.The research and excavation of "Shuo Wen" by the Qing dynasty scholars reached an unprecedented depth,one of which is "citing ‘Shuo Wen’research".The "Shuo Wen" cited in the ancient books mainly comes from two systems: the ancient version of "Shuo Wen" and the Two Xu’s version of "Shuo Wen".Most scholars in the Qing Dynasty studied the two separately,and the one that really combined the two and carried out a relatively comprehensive comparative study was Tian Qian’s《The Quotations in Shuo Wen cited by the Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka》in the late Qing Dynasty.This paper takes this book as the research object,outline the origin of the article’s topic in the introduction section.From the development of "Shuo Wen" to "Research on Quoting"Shuo Wen",From the spread of《the Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka》to Tian Qian’s research on《The Quotations in Shuo Wen cited by the Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka》.Also includes research reasons,research significance,research objects and research methodsChapter One Studies the preservation and interpretation of "Shuo Wen" cited in《The Quotations in Shuo Wen cited by the Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka》in the Two Xu’s Edition and the situation of citing other books.According to the existence or non-existence of the Two Xu’s Edition and citing other books,there are four situations to discuss.Chapter Two Studies other books cited in《The Quotations in Shuo Wen cited by the Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka 》.Include the source of citing other books and the purpose of citing other books.In terms of source,it can be divided into seven cases,such as Tian’s citing other books,Tian’s citing from "Yin Yi",etc;In terms of purpose,it includes five aspects: interpreting the meaning of words,identifying and analyzing the shape of the characters,identifying the fonts,distinguishing the guise and analyzing the homology.Chapter Three Studies "Shuo Wen" cited in《The Quotations in Shuo Wen cited by the Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka》.Including the way and content of citing "Shuo Wen".From the way,it is divided into direct reference and indirect reference;In terms of content,there are 11 cases including only citing the interpretation of "Shuo Wen",only citing the characters identified in "Shuo Wen",and also citing the interpretation and analysis of "Shuo Wen".Chapter Four Makes a textual research on the citations in《The Quotations in Shuo Wen cited by the Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka》.Including errors in citing the volume of "Yin Yi" and citing "Shuo Wen" in "Yin Yi" and "Shuo Wen" in the the Two Xu’s Edition.Chapter Five Makes an evaluation of《The Quotations in Shuo Wen cited by the Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka》.The advantage of this book is that it is consciously compared with the the Two Xu’s Edition,and there are many books cited,etc;However,there are also errors such as insufficient research and rigorous research and incorrect citations. |
