A Textual Research On The Zhuanzhuanzi In "Huilin Yinyi"

During the Eastern Han dynasty,Buddhism was introduced into China and flourished.Until the Tang dynasty,Buddhist have spread throughout China.The need for Buddhist translation is also booming.Buddhist is Sanskrit,and need to be translated into Chinese in order to Preach in China.But the language ability of the Buddhist translator is uneven.As a result,there might be some mistakes in Chinese Buddhist scripture.In the Tang dynasty,Master Xuanying composed The Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka,and the Master Huilin also composed a masterwork named The Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka.In the Liao dynasty,Master Xilin compose Extended of The Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka.All of them aims to explain the words in the Buddhist scriptures(sutra).The Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka by Huilin can be called the project of Chinese philology.The masterwork has a total of one hundred volumes.Some of the paraphrase of the entry often quoted the standardized form,the popular form,the variant form,the ancient form,and the Zhou characters of the interpreted characters.In the six categories of Chinese characters’configuration method(六书),the theory of Conversion has rarely been unified conclusion since ancient times.The Study of the Conversion System by Zhong Ru Xiong has set up a new theoretical system,and a new research direction are put forward.Zhong Ruxiong regard conversion as the old configuration converts into new configurations,and there are only four categories of configurations,which named,hieroglyph,self-explanatory,associative,phonogram.The Conversion is the transformation hub between these four categories of configurations regard as the inter-character relationship,rather than a independent Chinese character configurations method,which like the loan.In this paper,we use the Zhong Ruxiong’s focus theory as the guiding principle to collect and collate the focus characters in the entry of The Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka by Huilin,including the standardized form,the popular form,the variant form,the ancient form,and the Zhou characters,etc.And then use the principle of the six categories of Chinese characters’ configuration method to analyze their conversion theory in detail.The full text contains four sections:Chapter 1,that main outline of the forming process,the extant version,and the character research status of The Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka by Huilin,as well as the source of the research in this paper and the significance of the research.The second chapter,the writer describes the research history of the focus characters,clarifies the definite criteria of the focus characters,and makes a distinction between the focus characters and the homologous characters,the ancient and modern characters and the loan characters.The paper regard conversion as the old configuration converts into new configurations in accordance The Study of the Focus System,in which the old configuration could be converted into new configurations,and there are only four categories of configurations,which named,hieroglyph,self-explanatory,associative,phonogram.The Conversion is the transformation hub between these four categories of configurations regard as the intercharacter relationship,rather than a independent Chinese character configurations method,which like the loan.In the third chapter,the search is based on the Chinese character conversion system established in the study of the conversion system.The paper regard the Conversion of the Chinese character which means that the old configuration converts into new configurations in the six categories of Chinese characters’ configuration method as the guidance of the scientific judgment.Then the author sorted out the variant form of characters in The Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka by Huilin,and the characters with the convert relation are summarized into the character groups.The paper choose key points to verify and examine the convert rules of them.The conclusion chapter,summarizing the research results of the focus characters in The Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka by Huilin,and count that the quantity of the focus characters in The Sound and Meaning of the Tripitaka by Huilin which have been verified.The result of the research embodies the pivotal role of conversion in Chinese characters’ reproduce.The amount of the users is very enormous,so that the process and the way of the new form reproduce are extremely complicated.Moreover,the process of the old configuration converts into new configurations are often include two or more configuration method which are called compound type in this paper and listed in Appendix.
