Analyzing The Cases Of Tongren Shuo Cited In Shuowen Jie Zi

Professor Yuchizhping puts forward: As a scholar of the new age, he should have a solid foundation of Pu Xue, have scientific spirits and can do researches by digital means. We take the materials connected with Tongren Shuo in the book Shuowen Jie Zi .As our research target, we use computers to assist our research, seek the meanings according to their tones, and seek the meanings according to their forms; we discuss the problems about the four-syllable words and analyze the contents of Tongren Shuo and their linguistic values; we sum up their styles, their contents, their achievements and their faults. As well as analyzing the causes, Meanwhile, we affirm the linguistic values of Tongren Shuo.The thesis contains 8 parts. The 1st chapter is the introduction to the knowledge associated with Shuowen Jie Zi , and the researches we are doing and the values of such research; chapter2 is about the materials and means , giving a introduction to the origin of the materials and the research means; chapter3 is about using computers to process the materials, introducting the technology of program of the corpus, and the technology of XML; chapter4 is about the analysises on Xiaozhuan and Chongwen in Tongren Shuo; chapter5 is about the analysises on the notations of Tongren Shuo and the study of Tongren Shuo in Shuowen Jie Zi, through the early tones and the the inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells; chapter6 mainly discuss the linguistic of Tongren Shuo in the view of the study of characters, vocabularies and grammars; chapter7 is about the limitations of Tongren Shuo quoted by Xu shen; chapter8 is the conclusion, summing up the achievements and shortcomings of our research.
