Study On The Situation Of Workers In Taiyuan Northwest Coal Mine No.1 Factory From 1934 To 1949

In 1934,the first factory of northwest Coal mine was established,which was subordinate to northwest Industrial Company,a government-run enterprise of Yan Xishan.It was another large coal mine factory in Shanxi following Baojin Mining Company and Shanxi North Mining Bureau.Coal miners,as producers,have experienced special circumstances in different periods with the vicissitudes of enterprises.It is of great significance to study the social class status of coal miners in shanxi in modern times to deeply study the group status of workers in the first factory of northwest coal mine and restore the living appearance of industrial workers in the Republic of China.This paper focuses on the work,life and struggle of the workers in the first factory of northwest coal Mine.In terms of the general situation of the workers in the first factory of northwest Coal Mine,some of them came to work voluntarily,and some of them were coaxed and caught by force.They were aged between 11 and 60 years old,mostly young and middle-aged,and their educational level was slightly higher than other coal miners at that time.In terms of management system,the factory has set up a set of top-down management mode since the beginning of the factory,and the workers are subject to the strict constraints of the factory and contract workers,head management system.Poor working conditions,long hours and inefficient safety.In terms of salary and treatment,the overall income of workers is not high,and the gap between internal salary and treatment is large;In terms of workers’ livelihood,there is a set of policies that cover workers’ welfare,health care and children’s education,but the actual implementation is not clear.During the period of Japanese military rule,the workers suffered from the oppression of the Japanese and the head,and were exploited and tortured materially and spiritually.After the War of Resistance against Japan,the actual living conditions of the workers did not change because of the rising prices and Yan Xishan’s "Three Autobiography Training" campaign.Oppression aroused the consiousness and belligerence of the workers,the workers of the first coal mine in northwest China changed from spontaneous economic struggle to political struggle under the leadership of the Party,and gradually ushered in the dawn of their own.
