In recent years,as the most developed stock market in the world,the U.S.stock market has developed a very sound trading system as well as a mature market after hundreds of years of operation,which has attracted many Chinese investors.As the top agency that supervises and manages the U.S.securities industry,the annual report of the SEC is not only a disclosure of significant events and major achievements in a given fiscal year,but also regarded as an indicator for investors to understand the trading system,make investment assessment and do risk aversion in the U.S.securities market.Based on the E-C translation practice of the 2020 Annual Report of the Division of Enforcement of the U.S.Securities and Exchange Commission（Excerpt）,this paper introduces the background,significance and methods of the translation project,reviews and summarizes the specific implementation from pre-translation preparation to post-translation review.Under the guidance of Skopos Theory,the author analyzes difficulties in translating technical terms,polysemous words,nominalization structures,passive sentences and compound sentences by studying specific cases,thus summarizing the corresponding processing methods,aiming to provide certain reference values for the translation practice of annual report texts.
