On The Relationship Between Shen Zhou’s "Coarse Shen" Painting And His Calligraphy

As the founder and representative figure of The Wumen School in The Ming Dynasty,Shen Zhou had extraordinary artistic attainments in painting,and his paintings also had an important influence on the whole River of Chinese fine arts.Shen Zhou’s "rough shen" painting style is his representative style and main style,which is the focus of his painting research.Meanwhile,As a painter who succeeded Zhao Meng e ˉ ˉ s literary painting tradition since 1999,Shen Zhou’s "rough and deep" painting style was also for this tradition in song and Yuan dynasties This paper discusses the relationship between shen zhou’s calligraphy style and his "rough shen" painting style from the perspective of Shen Zhou’s calligraphy style,so as to explore the occurrence of shen Zhou’s "rough Shen" artistic style,its particularity and originality.
