A Study On The Calligraphy Of Huang Shen 's

Huang Shen is one of the representative painters of “Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou”and his style is unique among painting and calligraphy area during Qing Dynasty.This report will be focus on the classification study of calligraphy on his painting as well as discussed systematically from the following aspects which are the font,format and content of calligraphy on his painting.These three aspects will be analyzed seperatly which aims to discover and style better.Moreover,the following section will provide a elaborate comparision for Huang’s calligraphy on his painting in different time stages,and will be guided as places which he travelled by time.Also his style transformation can be summarized as three stages,such as Ninghua stage,Yangzhou first stage and Yangzhou second stages.Regards to these different periods’ works,it can reflect the transformation through his calligraphy and provide a comprehensive understanding about his style.
