Analysis Andinterpretation Of Lu Xun In 《Peking University 1918》

“Peking University 1918”,a large-scale symphonic oratorio,is an original stage work created and premiered by Peking University Opera Research Institute in 2018 to commemorate the 120^thanniversary of Peking University’s school anniversary,and performed every year in the admission education of Peking University Freshmen.From the perspective of today’s Peking University students,this play looks back on the history of the birth of the new Peking University a hundred years ago,focusing on the profound origin of Peking University,the new culture movement and the party history of the Communist Party of China.Through the comparison between today and the past,it reveals the great power of generations of Chinese people’s relay struggle for national rejuvenation,and finally converges into the‘Chinese dream’today.In this group like play with many characters,I was lucky to play the role of“Lu Xun”.As an artistic image,“Lu Xun”has appeared in many film,television and drama works,but has never had a musical image of“Lu Xun”,which is a great challenge to this play and me.This paper intends to sort out his experience and experience of playing Lu Xun“Peking University 1918”,and summarize some regular understandings of playing modern and contemporary historical figures in stage musicals for your reference.
