| Xing’an is an important pivot point of the Xianggui Great Passage and an ethnic settlement of Han and Yao,with important groups of stone carvings such as Lingquan,Yanguan,and Milk Cave.This dissertation collects,organizes,and studies Xing’an stone carvings,which have not been specifically organized before.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to focus on the historical and ethnic cultural information contained in them,and to collate and annotate them,not only to point out the omissions and mistakes of previous authors,but also to understand the history and culture of Xing’an,the local social life of Xing’an,and the historical,literary and artistic values of the stone carvings and their conservation value.The text is divided into four parts: the first part is an overview of Xing’an and Xing’an stone carvings,focusing on the important location of Xing’an and the overview of Xing’an stone carvings,describing the distribution,classification,and characteristics of Xing’an stone carvings;the second part is the content of Xing’an stone carvings,classified according to construction and transportation,travelogues and poems,inscriptions and titles,official oracles and village rules and regulations,and other categories;the third part is the value of Xing’an stone carvings.The third part is the value of Xing’an stone inscriptions,analyzing the value of Xing’an stone inscriptions in terms of history,literature and cultural relics;the fourth part is a special discussion on the culture of Lingqu stone inscriptions.Through the above studies,we hope to fill the gaps in the summary and study of Xing’an stone carvings and to improve the understanding of stone carvings in northern Guizhou and even in Guangxi region. |
