The education in China has entered an era of developing students’ core qualities in an all-round way,and the requirement for students’ comprehensive English ability is getting higher and higher.In order to promote students’ all-round development,language and learning ability are the basis of English teaching,and thinking quality and cultural character are the value orientation.Classroom teaching has the most direct effect on the formation of children’s learning attitude,and the most critical factor is the teacher.Teaching strategies arise from the process while teachers are analyzing about specific teaching methods and skills,compared with similar ways to deepen their unique understanding and cognition.It focuses on effective planning and rational selection of teaching methods,and attaches importance to teachers’ flexible application of teaching methods when confronting classroom issues.In this study,the methods of literature,interview and observation were adopted to study the teaching in classroom in the middle grade of primary schools.By reading relevant literature on strategies of teaching in classroom,considering the situation of middle grade English class in F school,and conducting individual interviews with eight teachers and ten students,the researcher further understood the status of middle grade English teaching in classroom in primary schools,By sorting out the survey results,the paper summarizes the main problems existing in middle grade English teaching in classroom.And analyzes its causes,and puts forward five specific strategies for middle grade English classroom teaching.Based on the curriculum standard and learning situation,the teaching objectives are set,students are promoted to say out their thoughts in English in class interaction,students are arranged to experience English time actively in class,English vocabulary intuitive teaching method and combining formative evaluation with concluding evaluation..The ideas of teaching strategies put forward in this study can provide effective reference for teachers when designing middle grade English classroom teaching.
