With the rapid development of science and technology,multimedia is widely used in various fields,such as film and television,advertising,entertainment,medical treatment,education and so on.However,the current situation of primary school English education has not brought its advantages into full play and is not synchronized with the development of the times.In the classroom of primary school English teaching,teachers are well aware of the need to teach according to students’ physiological and psychological characteristics,supplemented by game-based teaching strategies to improve the quality of teaching,but traditional teaching strategies can not meet the needs.As teachers,we should start from the students’ point of view,understand the students’ current hotspots of interest,and teach them in the way they like.This paper takes the fourth grade students of Xinhua Town Primary School in Linhe District,Bayannaoer City,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as the subjects.Teachers use multimedia game-based teaching strategies to carry out primary school English classroom teaching,explore whether it can improve the quality of teaching,and list some multimedia game-based teaching strategies in order to provide reference for more primary school English teachers.Through this study,we will continue to improve the game strategy in primary school English classroom teaching,innovate more teaching games,improve students’ interest in learning in primary school English classroom teaching,turn their passive into active,and actively participate in all aspects of the classroom.This paper consists of the following six parts:The first part is the introduction.This part introduces the research background,the reasons for choosing the topic,literature review,research significance,research status and research methods.The second part analyzes the core concepts and related theories of multimedia game-based teaching strategy.The third part is the application preparation analysis of multimedia game teaching strategy.This part belongs to the preliminary preparatory analysis of this study,including the types of English classes in primary schools,the content of English teaching in primary schools and the physiological and psychological analysis of students.The fourth part is the design of multimedia game teaching strategy.This part introduces its characteristics and principles,which are divided into three parts: finished game strategy,creation game strategy and reorganization game strategy,and share the corresponding cases.The fifth part is the experimental design and effect analysis of the application of multimedia game teaching strategy in primary school English classroom teaching.The sixth part is the summary and Prospect of the research.The conclusion of this study has played a positive role in the application of multimedia game teaching strategy in primary school English classroom teaching.First,it stimulates students’ interest in English learning,and secondly,it improves their English learning performance.Students are willing to participate,experience actively,acquire knowledge in games,and improve in a relaxed and pleasant learning atmosphere.
