Nikolai Kapustin(1937-2020)was a famous contemporary Russian composer and pianist.He adopted the collision between traditional classical music and modern pop music in his works to show the unique and inclusive cross-era significance of his works.Compared with other jazz composers,the jazz color in Kapustin’s music creation is more intense,including many kinds of style,for example,Boogie Woogie,Bossa Nova,Blues,etc.He created a precedent in incorporating the harmonic organization structure of jazz into the framework of classical music to jam the music and subsequently play according to the spectrum surface.This practice not only retains the most essential characteristics of jazz,but also breaks through the limitations of the type of music works,showing a very imaginative creative style.The most representative piano work,Eight Concert Etudes(op.40)presents Kapustin’s grasp of the combination and remodeling of classical music and jazz music,becoming the most favorite music work for piano players.Prelude and Reminiscence in the Eight Concert Etudes were focused on through detailed analysis,to further explore the integration of classical music and jazz music,and then analyze the educational and performance significance of this work for piano players.The paper was divided into three parts: The first part is the artistic style and analysis on relevant creative profiles of Eight Concert Etudes;The second part is the music text analysis of Prelude and Reminiscence;The third part is the interpretation of two works. |
