With the rapid development of the economy and society, people's diversified demands for cultural life are growing.Especially in the context of the single traditional music appreciation, the jazz piano boom that has jumped out in recent years has aroused the preference and pursuit of countless young people and students.Nikolai Kapustin,a good jazz composer, has been appreciated and loved by many fans. His “Eight Concert Etudes” OP.40 was created in 1984.It is a relatively mature work of his career. Each piece of this work contains different jazz styles.I chose “Eight Concert Etudes "(OP.40)II “Reverie” and III "Toccatina" mainly consider that these two works are more representative in Kapustin's works.First, the skills are more difficult and the music is relatively mature. The second is that the music often used in major competitions at home and abroad.Using these two works to do specific performance analysis is more conducive to the player to grasp the music style of Kapustin, and can be more targeted and more intuitive to understand the work.
