With the acceleration of the reform process of the new English curriculum in China,there have been great updates and changes in all aspects of English teaching,and the teaching modes and methods that accord with the current situation of English teaching in China and meet the actual needs of students are also gradually increasing.Based on the theory of constructivism,this study took the students in grade two of a school in Changsha as the research object,and used the methods and tools such as questionnaire,interview and SPSS21.0 to carry out the research.This study mainly focused on the following two aspects.First,an investigation was carried out on the actual grammar teaching situation in the school where the author practiced,and based on this,a study was conducted on how to apply mind mapping to grammar teaching for teaching design and implementation.Secondly,according to the actual teaching effect of mind mapping applied in grammar teaching,this study explored the possible problems and solutions when mind mapping is applied in English grammar class.On the basis of defining relevant concepts of mind mapping and summarizing the development situation of English grammar teaching at home and abroad,this study conducted an investigation and analysis of the current situation of English grammar teaching in the second grade of the school where the author practiced through questionnaires and interviews.According to the students’ learning situation and the current situation of grammar teaching,the author designed a specific design idea of applying mind mapping to English grammar teaching,including the tutoring of the related knowledge and concepts of mind mapping to students before the teaching,the conception of teaching activities and the unified design of each teaching process.Through the observation and summary of classroom teaching and the questionnaire survey and interview analysis of students,the author obtained the practical application effect of mind mapping in grammar teaching.Suggestions and strategies for improving the teaching effect of mind mapping in grammar teaching were put forward,which provides solutions for improving the grammar teaching environment of junior high school and improving students’ grammar learning efficiency.Through classroom observation,analysis and discussion of the questionnaire data and student interview results,the following conclusions are drawn: the introduction of mind mapping can improve students’ interest in learning grammar,and has a positive effect on students’ learning effect;The introduction of mind mapping helps grammar teaching to be oriented to all students and can meet the learning needs and learning levels of different students.The correct drawing and rational use of mind mapping are indispensable in each process of grammar teaching. |
