English grammar is becoming more and more important in the process of English learning.Although teachers and students put in more and more time and energy,it still has little effect.Many students are not interested in English grammar learning and even lose confidence,which also poses a huge challenge to teacher’s teaching.As a teacher in the compulsory education stage,we have to follow the trend of curriculum reform and development,focus on student-oriented and improve the effects of classroom teaching;it is necessary to use modern educational technology and tools to cultivate students’ independent learning ability.Tense teaching is both important and difficult point in junior high school English teaching.In junior middle school,English learning will involve the study of all kinds of tense grammar.There are many kinds of tense and many knowledge points in junior middle school English grammar.If students can master an effective learning method,it is bound to produce twice the result with half the effort.Because of the characteristics of tense grammar,the advantage of Mind Mapping is more obvious.At present,many researchers have proved that Mind Mapping has obvious advantages in English teaching,but there is no specific teaching example.This paper takes the tense teaching of junior middle school English grammar as an example to explore the application effect of Mind Mapping in junior middle school English grammar teaching.This article aimed to study two questions: How does the teaching method of Mind Mapping affect students’ interest in learning English grammar in junior high school English grammar class?Can the use of Mind Mapping teaching method in junior high school English grammar class improve the teaching effect of tense teaching? This article summarized the research related to Mind Mapping at home and abroad.The author used questionnaire to investigate students’ views on Mind Mapping and grammar learning firstly.Secondly,the author used experimental method,through different classroom teaching methods to compare and analyze the impact of Mind Mapping on students’ tense grammar learning performance.This research of the experiment lasted for three months.82 students in the seventh grade of the author’s school were used as research objects,and experimental and control classes were set up.Tense grammar teaching model of Mind Mapping is used for the experimental class during in the meantime,and using traditional teaching methods in the control class.The author used questionnaire and the experiment method and SPSS23.0 statistical analysis software for analysis.After statistical analysis,it is concluded that: Firstly,the teaching method of Mind Mapping has a positive influence on students’ interest in learning.Secondly,compared with the control class,the English grammar score of the experimental class is better.
