An Analysis Of Freedom Thought In Marx’s Doctoral Thesis

The issue of freedom has always been a major issue in Marx’s philosophy.The Difference between democritus’ s Natural Philosophy and Epicurus’ s Natural Philosophy（hereinafter referred to as "Doctoral Thesis"）,which was completed at the end of March1841,is the first relatively complete philosophical work of Marx,which contains Marx’s rich ideas of freedom.The freedom thought in Doctoral Thesis is the beginning and birthplace of Marx’s freedom view,and it is of great significance for people to have a deep understanding of Marx’s overall freedom view.In this paper,Marx expounded his thinking and pursuit of freedom in detail and in depth by discussing the differences between democritus’ s and Epicurus’ s natural philosophy in the whole and details.In recent years,scholars have studied the freedom thought in Marx’s Doctoral Thesis from different angles,and made many new developments and breakthroughs in theory.Therefore,based on sorting out,analyzing and summarizing many research results,this paper,based on the text materials of Doctoral Thesis,mainly discusses the realistic background,theoretical premise,main content and important value of freedom thought in Marx’s Doctoral Thesis.The first part is about the realistic background and theoretical premise of the formation of free thought in Marx’s Doctoral Thesis.Firstly,this paper investigates the realistic background of Marx’s writing doctoral thesis,explains it from three aspects:family atmosphere,school environment and social conditions,and analyzes the theoretical premise provided by Hegel’s philosophy,young hegelians’ s philosophy and ancient Greek philosophy for Marx’s writing doctoral thesis,and discusses their important influence and inspiration on Marx from three aspects respectively.The second part is about the main content of free thought in Marx’s Doctoral Thesis.As the focus and difficulty of this paper,this part mainly analyzes and discusses from four aspects: affirming Epicurus’ freedom of dedicated philosophy,agreeing with Epicurus’ freedom of contingency,demonstrating Epicurus’ freedom of atomic deflection and criticizing Epicurus’ self-consciousness,and then highlights Marx’s unique understanding of free thought.The third part is about the important value of free thought in Marx’s Doctoral Thesis.First of all,this paper analyzes the important value of free thought in Doctoral Thesis to the development of Marx’s own free thought,because it provides an important basis for the independent status of Marx’s free thought and lays a foundation for the all-round development of Marx’s free thought.Secondly,this paper expounds the important value of freedom thought in Doctoral Thesis to the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,because it is helpful to deepen people’s understanding of freedom in socialist core values and promote the development of China’s socialist modernization and ecological civilization construction.To sum up,this paper starts from the text materials,summarizes,sorts out and draws lessons from related research results on the basis of reading the original works,and further interprets the freedom thought in Doctoral Thesis theoretically.The freedom thought in Doctoral Thesis is the historical starting point of Marx’s freedom view.Through this work,we can more easily clarify the evolution process of Marx’s freedom thought and more clearly grasp the scientific connotation of Marx’s freedom thought.Furthermore,when the theoretical value is brought into play in real life,it will help us better think about how to realize real freedom.
