The main content of this thesis revolves around the interaction between the internal members of the ordinal time adverbs of the Mandarin Chinese table order and the semantic conditions of the co-occurring verbs,so as to summarize the restrictive characteristics of the interaction between the two.Firstly, the time adverbs of table order are divided into table initial type, table continuous type, and table short-term type, and time adverbs of table repetition are divided into table second type, table repeated type, table continuous type, and table re-type.Through the analysis of table order and table order time adverbs of table order repetition from two perspectives of syntax and semantics, and then from the semantic point of view of various types of ordinal time adverbs, discuss the restriction conditions of ordinal time adverbs and verbs. And starting from the process structure and semantic types of verbs, discuss the restriction conditions of the co-occurrence of ordinal time adverbs and verbs, and explain various selection restrictions from the perspective of semantics and cognition. Finally,it focuses on the selection restrictions between different types of ordinal time adverbs, basic verbs, verb overlap and other forms, and reveals the tense and aspect characteristics of verbs and the selectivity of ordinal time adverbs. Thus,it can be concluded that there is a two-way selection process between ordinal time adverbs and verbs in modern Chinese: on the one hand, the syntactic and semantic characteristics of ordinal time adverbs restrict the verbs that can co-occur;on the other hand, the process structure and tense aspect of verbs. The feature also puts forward the conclusion of restrictive conditions for the selection of ordinal time adverbs. In order to provide some help for the research of related issues.
